*本屆台北國際探戈節的大師營當中有一組課是對於探戈的舞台表演有興趣的人所不應該錯過的。絕大多數阿根廷探戈的課程都是屬於salon style,也就是舞會裡面使用的觀念及元素。Stage tango的課程無論在何地都是很難得而且專門。本屆阿根廷大師中的Pablo & Noelia不僅有豐富的舞台探戈表演經驗,其在舞台探戈的教學上也有多年經驗。

[ 公告 ] 阿根廷民族舞蹈表演 -- 就在9月13日大師之夜!
*今年的台北國際探戈節將見由阿根廷大師Roberto Herrera與Silvana Capra帶來的阿根廷民族舞蹈Chacarera與Malambo。Chararera是一種獻給阿根廷農夫之女的曲調,歡樂的男女追逐為其特徵,是類似民族舞蹈當中最普及者之一。今年不僅9月13日的大師之夜中將有此表演,當天下午Roberto & Silvana也將於探戈節大師營中教導這個舞蹈,適合所有程度的舞蹈愛好者參加。

[ Overview ]
Taipei Tango Festival is one of the most important argentine tango events in Asia. It was founded by Daniel & Stacy and the Taipei Tango Association in 2003 and has been the focus of attention in the Asian tango scene since then, attracting over 300 tango lovers every year, half of them traveling exclusively for the festival from all over the world.
The 6th Taipei Tango Festival this year will be consisted of 6 dancing nights and 5 days of workshops, total of 26 lessons for all kind of levels, from beginners to advanced. We have invited argentinean masters of great prestige and there will be performances and live orchestras in the dances.
For tango beginners we have arranged a Beginners Lesson on Sep. 10. Please see "Workshops" web page for details.
Also as a warm-up event, Tanguisimo Tango Space has invited professor Lin Jing-Ling from the Furen University to give a speech about tango movies on Sep. 5. Stay tunned with the Taipei Tango Association website for details.

[ Roberto Herrera & Silvana Capra ]
Roberto Herrera -- Master, choreographer and dancer of national and international renown, Roberto Herrera was principal dancer of the Argentinian National Ballet directed by Santiago Ayala “El Chúcaro” and Norma Viola. In 1986 he was principal male dancer in the film “Tango Bar”. He was part of the cast of “Tango Argentino” in 1992 and 2006 in Buenos Aires and in the year 2000 on Broadway. From 1993 to 1995 he was principal male dancer of “Tango Pasión” with the Orchestra Sexteto Mayor. In 1995 he created, directed and interpreted “Tango, Una Historia”, which he performed until 2001 in the historic tango bar “El Querandi” of Buenos Aires. He was then the principal male dancer of the Gran Orquesta of Maestro Osvaldo Pugliese. In June 2006 he took part in the widely-acclaimed show “Buenos Aires Tango 3” in Paris and Brussels with the orchestras El Arranque, Vale Tango and Decarísimo. The same show was then successfully performed for two weeks in September 2006 at the Auditorium in Rome. In March 2007 Roberto took part in a new tour of the same show, together with Orquesta El Arranque, in Brescia and Hong Kong, where it sold out for two weeks at the prestigious Hong Kong Arts Festival.
At the beginning of 2004, he formed his own company, Compañía Argentina de Tango, with which he has already created, directed and performed two shows: “Tango Nuevo” (Argentina 2004, Italy 2005, Singapore and Bali 2007) and “Tango” (Italy 2007, with a new tour planned for Jan./Feb. 2008).
Roberto Herrera has taught workshops and performed in Italy, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Finland, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Germany, Poland, the USA, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

Silvana Capra -- She belongs to the new generation of versatile Argentinian dancers who develop their own personal style thanks to the study of ballet, contemporary dance, folk dancing and Argentine Tango. Youth and experience combine to create an updated view of an Argentinian passion, tango.

Andrea Missé -- Worldwide renowned master, choreographer and dancer of argentine tango. From 1995 to 1999 she was performer, choreographer and tango teacher for various dance companies in Argentina, performing for "National Geographic" and the TV channel "SOLO TANGO". Performer and choreographer for the presentation of Julio Iglesias' CD "TANGO" in Argentina. Andrea Missé was founder, director, choreographer and dancer of the "TANGODANZA COMPANY" in 1999. She has been touring intensively in Europe and USA since 1998 and in Asia since 2003 for performances and workshops.

iTango Orchestra was founded by several musicians in July, 2004. As tango lovers, they hope to present you the original style of Argentine tango with typical arrangement.
iTango includes musicians from different area, such as classical, jazz, popular and latin, with 2 violins, 2 bandoneons, 1 piano, 1 double bass, and 2 vocals. Master degree of Piano Perform of Taipei National University of the Arts. Piano of Taiwan Voice Chorus and the Cosmos Opera. She's often invited to many international musical festivals in many countries in Europe, America, and Asia.
Violin – 羅俊傑 Mike Palmer
He was from Australia, where he arranged a Mexican music band and was invited to play in the Melbourne Port Folk Festival. He's specialized in folk music with strong emotions.
Violin – 盧耿鋒 Frank Lu
1st violin of Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, 1st violin of Philharmonia Moment Musical. The first Taiwanese violinist to perform the N. Paganini 24 Caprices & J.S Bach 3 solo sonatas & 3 partitas in debut. He's often invited to many international classical, popular, and modern concerts around the world.
Bandoneon – 閻亭如 Tina Yen
Master degree of Musicology of Graduate School of Music, National Chiao Tung University. Championship of Taipei Piano Competition. She's specialized in instrument accompaniment and inprovisation.
Bandoneon – 程希智 Alvin Cheng
Leader of iTango. Major in bandoneon in Ecole Nationale de Musique de Edgar-Varése Gennevilliers in Paris, with Professor Juan Jose Mosalini. He was invited to play in the speech concert of the National Concert Hall.
Double Bass - 盧欣民 Minco Lu
Major in double bass and jazz music in Musicians Institute in USA. He's specialized in many different styles of music, and is a renowned bass player in Taiwan.
Female Vocal – 彭靖惠 Yvonne Peng
Singer,song & lyric writer, music producer. Nominated by Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan in the Best Album and the Best Female Vocal. With excellent singing technique and language talent, her performance of jazz/latin/French chansom/tango is always loved by audience.
Male Vocal/Bandoneon - 劉心岳 Daniel Liu
Professional tango dancer, singer of tango and flamenco. His life style of tango and his research of tango culture all make his tango voice derive naturally from the bottom of his heart.

Guitar – 黃中岳 Ray Huang
Twice nominated by Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan in the Best Composer . Well-known composer and guitar player in Taiwan. He composed for many singers, such as Yvonne Peng, Chang-Ju Liang, Hui-Mei Chang, Yen-Tzu Sun….and he's often invited as guitar player and music director for grand concerts, such as FIR and Hui-Mei Chang. Perfect musicality and generous educating for the new generation all make him a very important musician with great contribution in Taiwan.
iTango includes musicians from different area, such as classical, jazz, popular and latin, with 2 violins, 2 bandoneons, 1 piano, 1 double bass, and 2 vocals. For the Taipei Tango Festival 2008, Sarita Chen(harp), Emily Chang(Cello) and Ray Huang(Guitar) are invited as special guests. Be sure to join us in the Grand Milonga on Sept. 13.

Master degree of Piano Perform of Taipei National University of the Arts. Piano of Taiwan Voice Chorus and the Cosmos Opera. She's often invited to many international musical festivals in many countries in Europe, America, and Asia.
Violin – 羅俊傑 Mike Palmer
He was from Australia, where he arranged a Mexican music band and was invited to play in the Melbourne Port Folk Festival. He's specialized in folk music with strong emotions.
Violin – 盧耿鋒 Frank Lu
1st violin of Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, 1st violin of Philharmonia Moment Musical. The first Taiwanese violinist to perform the N. Paganini 24 Caprices & J.S Bach 3 solo sonatas & 3 partitas in debut. He's often invited to many international classical, popular, and modern concerts around the world.
Bandoneon – 閻亭如 Tina Yen
Master degree of Musicology of Graduate School of Music, National Chiao Tung University. Championship of Taipei Piano Competition. She's specialized in instrument accompaniment and inprovisation.
Bandoneon – 程希智 Alvin Cheng
Leader of iTango. Major in bandoneon in Ecole Nationale de Musique de Edgar-Varése Gennevilliers in Paris, with Professor Juan Jose Mosalini. He was invited to play in the speech concert of the National Concert Hall.
Double Bass - 盧欣民 Minco Lu
Major in double bass and jazz music in Musicians Institute in USA. He's specialized in many different styles of music, and is a renowned bass player in Taiwan.
Female Vocal – 彭靖惠 Yvonne Peng
Singer,song & lyric writer, music producer. Nominated by Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan in the Best Album and the Best Female Vocal. With excellent singing technique and language talent, her performance of jazz/latin/French chansom/tango is always loved by audience.
Male Vocal/Bandoneon - 劉心岳 Daniel Liu
Professional tango dancer, singer of tango and flamenco. His life style of tango and his research of tango culture all make his tango voice derive naturally from the bottom of his heart.
